February 2 – Groundhog Day

A different Groundhog Day for us this year… Pennsylvania’s most famous groundhog emerged from his burrow on a snowy Tuesday morning and saw his shadow, declaring there would be six more weeks of winter

What is Groundhog Day: It derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerging from its burrow on this day sees its shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den and winter will persist for six more weeks; but if it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early.

January 20, 2021 . INAUGURATION DAY on the more positive side… we have had a presidential inauguration that was exceptional… President Biden and Vice President Harris provided a sense of “we are going to be alright” after the horrific last four years this inauguration was exceptionally special. At the end of this wonderful day there were fireworks that was better than I have witnessed in my many years of fireworks.
