Spring came in quietly this year…   weather has been unpredictable …  one day it feels spring like, the next it is back to winter chills.   Along with the strange weather pattern we have now, we are faced with a coronavirus. A pandemic…   We are learning new phrases, such as, distancing, stay in place, elbow bump and have quickly learned that toilet paper is the real gold standard.  

Hording shelf items are now the norm…  paper products, foods, waters… we have taken on a selfish survival mode.

A neighbor man fell while walking outside… another neighbor man took his photo, but he did not offer to help the man on the ground.   He posted the picture to our community Facebook page and the response was disturbing.  The realization was that few would have helped the man up, because of fear of the virus…  The man lay on the ground until someone called an EMT.   A community lacking empathy has emerged since the arrival of the virus.   So sad!
